Drawdown in the context of climate is that point in time at which the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases peaks and begins to decline on a year-to-year basis.
The objective of Drawdown Europe is to better unite researchers, activists, business-leaders, politicians, policymakers and organizations in order to strengthen and give more voice to the European coalition of those working toward reversing global warming – including strengthening research, innovation, funding, political agendas and public awareness.
Drawdown Europe joins a host of Drawdown “hubs” forming in the United States, Canada and Australia, and is a significant expansion of the global Drawdown coalition that to date includes universities, research institutions, NGOs, investors, philanthropists, museums, businesses and others who have committed to a collaborative approach to implementing solutions.
